Geometric shapes and patterns represent important tools in modern interior design. To a certain extent in every space we meet a geometric decoration or pattern but in order to highlight each piece, we start with the classic shapes that are very easy to notice: squares, triangles, circles, hexagons. The three styles that usually eometric patterare linked to geometric design are Art Deco, Mid-Century and Contemporary.
Although we can add to our design different shapes and patterns, it is very important not to go overboard, otherwise we will create clutter and the pieces will not stand out. Either we stick to one category of shapes with the possibility of repeating it, or we choose three of them to mix in order to obtain a cohesive design.
